“…we live in a generally small isolated town in the northern parts of Sweden surrounded by nothing but forests, lakes and mountains. But that’s mainly what we love about living here.”
Die Hards! Let us introduce our latest creation and release; “KILL THE LIGHT“, a 2-track digital single. Out now and available via most streaming services and digital platforms as of today Wed. March 30th, 2022. Paranoid Northern Discs (PND18-DIGI).
Recorded in Studio Mangel, Frösön, February 2022. Produced and engineered by Jocke D-takt. Mixed by Daniel Mikaelsson and mastered by Roger Bergsten at Nevo Studios. Guest vocals on “Dead Barren Wastes” by Nox. Cover artwork by Joe BB. Eternal gratitude to all involved!
The plan is to release a digital single series this year, mainly in connection with the celebration of our 10th anniversary but also as a counter-reaction due to the insane demand in vinyl and a minimum of 8-10 months turnaround time, as we speak. There are many benefits to releasing and distributing your music digitally, which we gained experience with the release of our forth album “Cursed”. We like the aspect of recording, releasing and moving on to the next project within a month without having to elaborate and analyze the smallest detail during the process. It makes these songs and this project more inspiring, liberating and spontaneous. But also up to date. The digital world feels flat and impersonal, we share your opinion, and we certainly don’t close the doors to a possible vinyl release in the future.
Photo by Peter Rosvik (www.ishootrawpunk.net).
“Das eröffnende “Senka” beginnt mit einem fast klassischen Heavy Metal Riff und geht dann in eine recht punkige Richtung…”

Friday freakout! We’ve uploaded an old song, new for some, titled “悪魔は生き続ける (Akumu wa ikitsuzukeru)“. This song was recorded back in 2015 and was intended as our unreleased contribution for Brain Solvent Propaganda’s “Crack your brain up” compilation LP. Unfortunately, it never got released. This version was mixed and mastered at Noise Room by Shigenori Kobayashi, and we had our great friend and partner in crime Motokaaos helping us out with some back-up vocals.
Now the song gets a second chance as it appears on Phobia’s 20th anniversary comp. “Demons Inside Us”. We only noticed this week that it has already been released, so we decided to also release it officially via our bandcamp.
The alternate and extended music video version which have been on YouTube since 2016 is mixed and mastered at Communichaos Media by Kenko.
“Sweden’s D-Beat monsters 偏執症者 (Paranoid) are back with a new 7”. On “Tatari”, the band presents two new killing tracks. A-Side ‘戦禍 (Senka)’ begins with a hymnic Heavy Metal intro before 偏執症者 (Paranoid) go full throttle to leave nothing behind but ashes and rubble. B-Side ‘砂時計 (Sunadokei)’ keeps up with the pace no problem, and in total, the band shows what their strengths are: merciless riff attacks, bassladen productions, and sonic violence.
Listening recommendation: pedal to the metal, volume up”

We fully understand if there are confusions around the vinyl 7″ edition of the TATARI EP (PND16-EP). So we’ll try to sort it out and explain everything once and for all.
On May 7, 2021, we released our fourth album “CURSED“. Due to the countless setbacks and delays that occurred during the process and the release of the previous album “OUT RAISING HELL“, we made the decision that we would try out something completely different with the next release. A new approach to challenge ourselves but mainly to keep it simple, by using as few middlemen and involved as possible in order to reduce any problems that may arise. Cut down on all the hassle in short. Get the final master one day and then release the album just the day after. This is the simplified background to why “Cursed” was only released digitally and not on vinyl.
The first 250 who purchased “Cursed” via our Bandcamp got “Tatari” included as a free bonus. Which we also stated on our website and in our social media. We had a document with 250 blank lines that we filled in with names and email addresses in turn as someone downloaded the album. On June 11, that list was full and all vinyl 7″ was gone. This edition is limited to 250 hand-numbered copies on black vinyl and is not for sale. At the end of October we approved the test presses and last Friday we finally got the record. The pressing plant recommended us to order extra copies as they couldn’t guarantee an edition of exactly 250 as we required cause it can differ by 10% up or down. Therefore, we have a box with a bunch of leftover records, in addition to the 250, which we haven’t yet really decided what to do with.
Both the album and the EP are taken from the same recording session and you’ll also find them both via most streaming services.
Recorded in Studio Mangel, Frösön/Sweden, April-May 2021. Produced and engineered by Jocke D-takt. The drums were recorded by Johan Arveli at Studio 306. Mixed and mastered by Kenko at Communichoas Media Clay Station. Cover artwork by Bharata Danu. Many thanks to Toda for the help and contact with the pressing plant.
